About Lynsey Cox
Once upon a time, I worked in a busy communications team (and others before that). What I loved most about my job was helping colleagues with their writing.
Nearly two decades of hard-earned experience have shaped the way I help organisations communicate with their audiences.
I understand the pain points of busy comms and marketing teams. There are stakeholders to manage, a content pipeline to keep moving, quality control of AI-assisted content – all exacerbated by the ever-expanding remit of the profession. It's a lot. And it makes it harder to focus on detailed tasks like editing and proofreading.
When you hire me, you get a copyeditor who's in your corner. Think of me as an extension of your team; the one you can hand your content to, knowing it’ll not just be polished and publication-ready, but also working as hard as it can for the people you need to reach.

I’m proud to have worked in-house and freelanced for prestigious organisations including the National Trust and the Royal Society of Chemistry.
My freelance clients include the RSPB and Alzheimer’s Research UK, two organisations whose work is close to my heart. I've also freelanced for the award-winning Cambridge communications consultancy, cofinitive.
What else makes you qualified to help?
I'm an Intermediate Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading, the UK's professional body for excellence in English language editing.
All members of the CIEP must comply with the Professional Practice Code. This means that I work to their high standards and keep my skills and knowledge up to date.

We recently worked with Lynsey to produce a combined report covering two aspects of a survey we conducted on diagnosing dementia.
